SANTA CLARA, Calif. The Atlanta Falcons lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 20-10, last Sunday in their Week 7 prime-time game at Levi's Stadium in front of 71,217 ticketed fans.

Read the Game Breakdown for a full recap of what happened.

STATS TO CHEERS OVER

-- The Falcons had a 19-play drive on their second possession that lasted 10 minutes and 40 seconds. The time that drive took off the clock made it the longest since 1994.

-- Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw for 241 yards, which puts him at 2,184 career passing yards through nine starts. That's the most by any Falcons quarterback.

-- Wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who hadn't played since Week 4 due to a hamstring injury, returned to lead the Falcons with 68 receiving yards. He averaged 22.7 yards per reception. It was the eighth time in his six-year career where he averaged more than 20 yards per reception with at least three receptions.

-- Falcons running back Bijan Robinson rushed for 40 yards and caught another 52 yards, putting him at 92 scrimmage yards. It was only the first time this season he did not break 100. However, he has had 12 consecutive games with at least 90 scrimmage yards, which is the NFL's longest active streak.

-- Falcons inside linebacker JD Bertrand had played one offensive snap prior to Week 7. When starterDivine Deablo injured his forearmin the first quarter, though, Bertrand stepped in and played the remainder of the game. Bertrand ultimately tied Falcons safety Jessie Bates III and 49ers linebacker Tatum Bethune for a game-high 10 tackles. That's double Bertrand's previous personal high.

FACTS TO SIP ON

-- The Falcons won the opening coin toss, elected to receive and then went three-and-out on offense. It was the first time this season Atlanta punted on its first drive.

-- The Falcons have scored only one touchdown in their last six quarters of work. Robinson scored on a 10-yard pass from Penix in the third quarter of Week 7. Before that, the last touchdown was in the second quarter of Week 6, when Robinson scored on an 81-yard run.

--According to Next Gen Stats, Penix did not complete any of his nine passes under pressure by the 49ers. It was the most such pass attempts in a game without a completion by any quarterback since 2023. When not pressured, Penix completed 21 of his 29 passes.

-- The 49ers are the first team this season to pick up more than 300 yards on offense against the Falcons' defense. San Francisco finished with 324 net yards. There is no longer a team in the NFL that has held every opponent to less than 300 yards on offense.

-- 49ers left guard Connor Colby caught an errant pass for a loss of 1 yard in the second quarter. It was the rookie's first career reception. Given the nature of his position, it will likely remain his only career reception.

QUOTING RAHEEM MORRIS

On his overall assessment of the loss

"Some missed opportunities out there. We have to do a better job coaching. We have to do a better job playing. Ultimately, those things fall on us and we'll get them fixed."

On whether there were 10 players on the field during the 49ers' third-and-13 play in the fourth quarter

"There absolutely was, and it's absolutely embarrassing, and it's my fault. I'll get it fixed."

QUOTING THE FALCONS

Inside linebacker JD Bertrand

On filling in for injured Divine Deablo after only previously playing one defensive snap this season

"I think it's a God whisper or something. For some reason, I thought I was gonna play. I kept on just telling myself, 'I know that opportunity is gonna come.' So, I felt like I was prepared."

Left tackle Jake Matthews

On playing with a high-ankle sprain for his 184th consecutive career start

"I gotta be out there, man."

Running back Bijan Robinson

On not being able to consistently run the ball

"I got a lot of work to do. All that 'best player in the NFL,' that stuff is dead. It's always been. I don't listen to stuff like that. For me, I got to be the best player for this team."

QUOTING THE OPPONENT

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan

On being able to limit Falcons running back Bijan Robinson

"Huge team thing. I mean, he is as good as there is. Everyone knows that. You need 11 guys swarming to the ball. If that guy gets too much space, it's just hard to touch him. I thought we limited the space he got. We tried to limit his opportunities by doing good on third down, getting them off the field, and you try to limit how much they can do with it by keeping the ball away from him."

On what he was most pleased with in the win

"We thought we had to win that game a certain way. I mean, even last night talking about how we felt we needed to run the ball, definitely. I challenged the team saying I'd like to get 40 runs called, but that's not just an offensive thing. In order to do that, you've got to play defense like we did tonight, you've got to play special teams like we did tonight, and having them allow us to pull that off was huge."

49ers tight end George Kittle

On the 49ers' defensive effort

"The defense was so much fun to watch today because they were just flying around. The one play that stood out to me was when Malik (Mustapha, safety) came downhill and hit 25 (Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier) so hard in the ribs that I think it took him out of the game. Those aren't fun hits to take. That's the reason I'm really happy I don't play running back."
