Phillies shortstop Trea Turner will have an MRI on his right hamstring Monday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Turner sustained the injury during the seventh inning of Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Miami Marlins while legging out a grounder and reaching first on a throwing error.

'It was just kind of grabbing on me. It didn't feel good,' Turner said after the game. 'I felt if I could have kept going, I would have.'

Turner, who hit a solo homer in the sixth inning, entered Monday leading the National League with a .305 batting average. The three-time All-Star also leads the league with 179 hits and has 15 homers and 69 RBIs in 140 games.

Edmundo Sosa replaced Turner at shortstop on Sunday and is his likely replacement in the event of a potential trip to the 10-day injured list.

Philadelphia (83-60) enters the week with a seven-game lead over the New York Mets in the NL East.
